Healing is for everyone, but not everyone is ready to heal.

If someone were to tell you that the state of your health was totally in your own hands—that you had the power to stay healthy, and that if you got sick, you had the power to heal yourself—would you believe them? It would sound too good to be true. But it is true.

Let me say at the start that members of the medical establishment do have a role to play in our health. We still need them—to perform surgery to repair damaged bodies, to set broken bones, and to help manage pain until the emotion causing the pain can be released. But too often medical practitioners treat the body not as a self-regulating and self-renewing holistic organism but as a machine that breaks down.

The medical establishment manages physical symptoms, working from the outside in. True healing takes place from the inside out. The mind, body, emotions, and spirit must be balanced for true healing to take place. Until the majority of the medical establishment recognizes the role the mind and spirit play in our health, their understanding will be limited as to how the physical body really heals. Once the mind, emotions, and spirit have been healed, the physical body will heal itself.

Healing is for everyone, but not everyone is ready to heal. Healing begins when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired. As long as you are getting something out of your illness, you will not heal. There are trade-offs with everything in life. Sometimes people hang onto an illness because the fear of dealing with a situation is worse than the pain of the illness itself. Believe it or not, some people use their illness to get attention or because they do not want to work. Other people have had their illness so long they have “become” their illness. They have lost sight of who they really were before they got sick. And sometimes illness is karmic. For instance, someone who has lost the use of his legs may have to learn to stand up for himself. There are many reasons we hang onto illness.

Miracles take place when people believe! In order for a “miracle” healing to take place, you must believe with all your being that all things are possible with God (or whatever name you choose to call the source of all energy). There can be no doubt—for the slightest bit of doubt, worry, or fear lessens or cancels the “miracle” taking place. God’s love for us is pure, and God sends this unconditional love in the form of healing energy for the only thing that heals is love.

Stay positive and loving at all times, and the energy you give out will return to you in the form of good health and a long, happy life. Self-centeredness, negativity, and fear will return to you in the form of illness and a short, unhappy life. Clear thinking and a loving spirit are imperative to maintaining wellness. When the mind, body, emotions, and spirit are in a constant state of peace, dis-ease cannot enter the body. If the mind, body, and spirit are in disharmony, dis-ease will be created to teach a lesson.

The only way to heal is by changing you. When you change, your world will change with you.

Be not mistaken! Doctors may diagnose the illness or dis-ease and prescribe pills to manage the symptoms, but they do not heal. The pills they offer are merely bandages to manage symptoms until we are ready to release the root of the dis-ease. On the other hand, energy practitioners are not healers either. They are conduits through which flows the healing energy from God. The clearer (more loving, less fearful) the conduit is, the purer the energy coming through them will be. You are the true healer; anyone else simply plays a role in your healing. If you are in an emergency, go to a hospital or the doctor. But if you have time and would like to experience a form of healing that really works, go to an energy practitioner.

True healing comes from within. In order to heal, the mind, body, emotions, and spirit must be balanced. For you to remain healed, inner peace must be maintained. The time has come to take responsibility for our own health, to be self-empowered. Poor health and dis-ease do not “just happen.” When you can accept responsibility for the mistakes of the past, then it is time to move into a new way of thinking and begin to reverse the dis-ease process. The only one who heals is the person him or herself, when he or she is ready.
