Healing is for everyone, but not everyone is ready to heal.
Written by Patricia Zimmerman
Healing begins when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired.
As long as you are getting something out of your illness, true healing cannot happen. There are always trade-offs in life.
Sometimes we cling to illness because facing a situation feels scarier than the pain of being sick.
Some use illness for attention or to avoid responsibilities.
Others have identified so closely with their illness that they’ve lost sight of who they were before it began.
In some cases, illness carries a karmic lesson—for example, someone who loses the use of their legs may be learning to stand up for themselves in life.
Ask yourself honestly: “What am I getting from this illness that I am not willing to release?” Healing begins when you look at yourself deeply and take responsibility. The only person who can truly heal you… is you.
If you always do what you’ve always done, you will always get what you’ve always got. What is stopping you from healing? When will you be ready to let go and step into health?
Life is about choices. The choice is yours: stay sick or choose to heal now. It’s never too late to begin. Are you ready for change?
